The Engineering Leadership of Pioneer Pump

Pioneer Pump was founded on the idea that pumps should be better. Thanks to their engineering leadership, all Pioneer pumps are built using an innovative impeller design that’s now the industry’s best. It moves more pumpage, more efficiently, size-for-size. You get extreme performance while using less energy, giving you the best lifetime value in an environmentally and budget-conscious world. The large eye area and low NPSHr provide better suction lift and vapor handling. And the enclosed design handles solids more efficiently for improved performance, less maintenance and longer life, compared to traditional impellers.

Another patented innovation is the Pioneer Prime’s stainless steel air separation valve, which allows for quick priming with no product carryover. Pioneer pumps are also designed for easy maintenance, with back-pull configurations, replaceable wear rings, wear plates, suction cover and removable inspection covers.

But they’re not stopping there. Pioneer Pumps constantly pursue new ways to improve pump hydraulics, efficiency and reliability. Because performance through innovation means they never stop trying to be even better.

Manufacturing a Superior Pump

Pioneer Pump’s superior hydraulic performance may begin on the engineers’ drawing boards, but it’s fully realised in their manufacturing centre. From the time it is determined with you to deliver the best pump for your application, until we deliver a pumpset that exactly meets those needs, quality and innovation is in every step.

Pioneer Pumps specially designed manufacturing facility was completed in 2007 and includes 4000 sq metre of climate-controlled assembly, programmable fabrication, CNC and DNC machining centers and a world-class test facility. Every pump is built to rigorous standards with premium materials, utilising a modular design concept, pressure-tested and spun-tested to ensure a superior product.

Taking quality as seriously as they do, Pioneer Pumps fully outfitted their state-of-the-art, 180,000 litre, 600mm closed-loop test facility with the most modern test equipment available. Our 450 kilowatt variable frequency control panel allows Pioneer to simulate almost any system up to 80,000 litres per minute and 300 psi. Pioneer Pumps incorporated a 10mt deep sump that allows for true lift testing and reprime testing of all their products. This test facility, coupled with high-tech instrumentation, allows them to rigorously test to Hydraulic Institute and International Standards Organization standards.

Pioneer incorporated significant air filtration equipment into their facility, as well as a world-class paint booth, to ensure their product looks as good as it performs.

Zero Defects. Quality Assured.

During the inspection stages, we aim to achieve zero defects using the latest equipment and procedures. This production philosphy which strives for ever higher quality is a major reason for our customers’ confidence in Iwaki products.

ISO9001We received ISO9001 certification in 1996. We have rigorous standards in place and continuously optimize and streamline core design and production processes for quality improvement.

ISO14001We received ISO14001 certification in 2005 and employ extensive measures to minimise our environmental impact.
